Pelvic-Centred Nervous System Work for Women

Regulation. Containment. Professional Discretion.

A private, clinically grounded practice offering structured, body-based therapeutic work for women experiencing persistent internal tension, physiological bracing, or unresolved nervous system activation.

This work integrates somatic psychology, nervous system science, and externally applied therapeutic bodywork within a trauma-informed psychological framework.

Designed for women who have developed psychological awareness, yet continue to experience what remains physiologically held. This work focuses on what remains when cognitive understanding is no longer sufficient.

Where the body remembers - and regulation begins.

An · Victory

My work sits at the intersection of psychology and the body, focusing on how prolonged stress, relational adaptation, and unresolved activation become organised within the nervous system and held physically, often within the lower pelvis and core.

I offer two distinct, professionally structured services: counselling, within my scope as a Registered Counsellor, and separate somatic bodywork sessions. Each operates with clear boundaries, frameworks, and consent processes.

I work with women who have already engaged in cognitive or therapeutic processes, yet continue to experience persistent internal tension, disconnection, or bracing that has not fully resolved.

My approach is guided by the Neuro-Pelvic Release Model™, a structured framework recognising how the nervous system encodes protection patterns within the body, and how these can be safely regulated and released through externally applied, consent-led somatic work.

Sessions are carefully paced, professionally contained, and grounded in regulation rather than intensity. The focus is not on catharsis, but on integration, coherence, and physiological stability.

In addition to private practice, I lecture within the field of psychology and contribute to professional training. Where appropriate, I work in collaboration with other healthcare providers.

Consultations are offered by appointment in Cape Town, with select availability across South Africa and internationally.

Registered Counsellor (HPCSA) and Somatic Bodywork Practitioner
Specialising in pelvic-centred nervous system regulation

Neuro-Pelvic Release Model™

The Neuro–Pelvic Release Model™ is a structured approach that works with the connection between the nervous system and the body.

It is based on three phases:

  1. Neuroception - how the nervous system detects safety or threat

  2. Pelvic Protection - how the body stores protective tension

  3. Somatic Release - how the body safely releases when regulation is restored

This model provides a clear, body-based pathway for understanding and working with stored tension and emotional holding patterns.

Who This Is For

This practice recognises that the body can carry what composure conceals.

It is suited to women who:

• Appear highly functional, yet experience ongoing internal tension
• Notice persistent pelvic or lower-body bracing
• Feel disconnected from their bodies despite insight or awareness
• Seek a more embodied, structured therapeutic approach
• Value discretion, containment, and professional care

Common presentations include:

• Pelvic or lower-body tension
• Nervous system dysregulation
• Emotional guardedness
• Residual relational stress responses
• Reduced somatic awareness or connection

All enquiries are assessed for suitability to ensure appropriate scope of practice.

What To Expect

The process begins with a confidential enquiry and pre-consultation discussion, followed by a scheduled private session.

Sessions are offered in a 90 minute format and conducted within a professionally held therapeutic setting.

Depending on individual needs, sessions may include:

• Breath-based nervous system regulation
• Guided somatic dialogue and awareness
• Externally applied, consent-led pelvic-focused bodywork techniques
• Sensory tracking and interoceptive work
• Structured integration and reflection

All work is external, non-invasive, and conducted within clearly defined professional and ethical boundaries.

This work does not aim to induce release, but to create the conditions under which the nervous system no longer needs to maintain protection.

Clinical Framework

This practice is informed by:

• Trauma-informed psychological principles
• Somatic psychology and body-based therapy
• Nervous system regulation theory
• Ethical, consent-led therapeutic practice

The pelvic region is closely linked to safety, boundary regulation, and autonomic nervous system responses. Under prolonged stress or unresolved activation, protective patterns may become physiologically organised within this area, often persisting beyond cognitive resolution.

This work supports regulation and integration through structured, externally applied somatic methods within a contained and professional framework.

Professional Scope of Practice

This practice provides pelvic-centred somatic work focused on nervous system regulation and embodied integration.

Sessions are:

• Consent-based
• Non-invasive
• Non-diagnostic

This work does not include medical assessment, pelvic floor rehabilitation, or physiotherapy. Clients are encouraged to maintain appropriate medical or healthcare support where indicated.
